Laith Abdel Hadi has taken a risk once again and got involved in an inspiring project: a luxury design residence inspired by the client’s amazing artwork collection. This bespoke design project enhances the balance between bright colours, strong contrasts and the elegance of some the most wanted pieces.
As most interior design projects, the Cullinan had its outlines defined by the clients, i.e., the owners of the apartment, which just happened to be big fans of music and film, resulting in a desire, on their part, to have a space that could serve as a home cinema.
Guided by their mission to create personalised interiors, the studio delivered. These windows are accompanied by heavy blackout curtains that not only prevent the room from overheating but also serve a major role in the owners’ request: the creation of the perfect ambience for a home cinema.
The team’s main inspiration for this project was the inherent opulence of a superyacht. To bring this home, the main living area eludes a nautical feel granted by the curvaceous lines that surround the room, mirroring waves echoing throughout the structure which are complemented by the luscious colours chosen for the room’s colour scheme.
Entering the kitchen we found two main areas: the space made to cook, where all begins with an amazing stove in radiant silver colour, and in front of it a golden counter top perfect combined with all the charm of the timeless Kelly bar chair by Essential Home – that was inspired by the sculpted arches from the bar in the classic movie Casablanca, and above it, there’s still a fascinating chandelier that goes from one side of the counter to the other one making the space very luminous and elegant.
The other area is where people appreciate the cooking, which counts with glamorous and gold, like the other parts. A centre dining table surrounded by the Soleil Chair by Boca do Lobo – a piece inspired by the spirit and mission of the famous Cirque du Soleil, with the purpose is to invoke, provoke and evoke.
And in the wall in front of the dining table, we see the opulent Diamond Amethyst sideboard that never passes unnoticed – inspired by the Gothic furniture of the romantic period, with its capacity to take advantage of the power of imagination, prevision and escape, without forgetting its unique character.
A resolutely modern hotel inspired by the French city mansions of the 17th and 18th centuries, a gorgeous place to stay in.
Inside this hotel, you can feel all the sophistication of those mid-century French mansions of the past with the straight modern. We could say it is the perfect balance between the inside and the outside space, between the past and the present.
The hotel has 120 rooms and 31 suites that offer a breathtaking view of the Opera, the park, or the Atrium. All the furniture and facilities were thought especially to provide the maximum of comfort and luxury to the guests. And for that, the project counts only with the highest quality pieces, which includes BRABBU sophisticated design furniture.
